About Us
The Hammock Inn Camp Store, operated by the Friends of Highlands Hammock State Park, opened on April 1, 2017. It is the only citizen support organization (CSO) run concession in the state of Florida. 100% of the store's proceeds go directly back into supporting, preserving, and restoring the park. The Hammock Inn was built by the men of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) between 1934 - 1941.
Our Story
The staff at the Hammock Inn Camp Store (CSO Concession) are committed to providing an exceptional level of customer service. Store operations are overseen by a store committee endorsed by the Friends of Highlands Hammock State Park Board of Directors. Store personnel work collaboratively with park staff to ensure an elevated level of visitor services.
The goal of the Hammock Inn Camp Store is to support Highlands Hammock State Park financially when state funding falls short. This is done through offering Tram Tours, Bicycle Rentals, and a wide variety of souvenirs and camping supplies.
